5NP Acupuncture: Relax and Restore
2nd and 4th Tuesdays; group session from 4–5pm
Invite relaxation and restoration through group acupuncture treatment. The NADA auricular (ear) acupuncture protocol is a non-invasive treatment that involves the gentle insertion of five needles into specific points in the ear to stimulate the nervous system. This treatment helps to reduce stress, uplift depressive feelings, and relieve anxiety. It can also help with improving sleep and provide a general sense of well-being. Led by Marty Paciocco, NADA Certified Acudetox Specialist.

Explore and celebrate the diverse tapestry of queer history with Queer History Club, a biweekly program dedicated to delving into significant moments and figures from queer history around the world. Each session will feature a discussion of a different type of media, including podcasts, book chapters, and documentaries, to cater to different learning styles and deepen our collective understanding. Our discussions will span every continent and various time periods, providing a rich, global perspective on queer history. This group welcomes individuals of all backgrounds and levels of knowledge to join in the conversation, reflect on the past, and connect with the broader queer community. As we move toward spring, this series offers a nurturing space to reconnect with yourself and the world around you. Together, we’ll take gentle walks, practice somatic awareness, and pause for breathwork and reflection. Your story matters. Women and members of the gender-expansive community are invited to join 2024 Challenge Into Change author Samman Akbarzada for a two-part writing workshop series. Samman will share inspirational writing examples to spark creativity, self-expression, and reflection. Following a group discussion, participants will have time for writing, with optional writing prompts available to support the process. Bring your voice, whether through prose, poetry, or another form, and join us in a space that celebrates healing through story. Facilitated by Samman Akbarzada.

Emotional Emancipation Circle TM
Tuesdays, April 21–June 2
Black women are invited to join us in this culturally grounded support group designed by the Community Healing NetworkTM to help heal and end the trauma caused by the root cause of anti-Black racism: the centuries-old lie of White superiority and Black inferiority. This circle will be a liberatory space to share stories and deepen our understanding of the impact of historical forces on our sense of self-worth, our relationships, and our communities. We will utilize seven keys of ancestral wisdom to unlock healing principles and help us be at our best as individuals and as people. This counseling group is open to Black women residing in Charlottesville and/or Albemarle, Nelson, Greene, Louisa, or Fluvanna counties. Facilitated by Shelly Wood, LCSW, and Grace Wint, MS.

Learning From the LGBTQ+ Community Training
This training program helps aspiring allies gain insight into the beautiful diversity of LGBTQ+ identities. Participants will explore the basics of LGBTQ+ identity, vocabulary, history, and the ongoing Movement for LGBTQ+ Liberation. Through personal stories, they will deepen their understanding of the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ people in our region. If you aspire to be an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and want to learn more about what the movement has to offer, this training is the perfect for you! Lunch will be provided. Art and Emotions
Thursdays, May 28–June 25
Join us for a five-week art therapy group for Latina women as we explore our emotions through craft, creativity, and culture. During this group, we use art as a way of connecting with our inner child. Together, we will cultivate a space of curiosity and emotional support. This group will be facilitated in English. Facilitated by Laura Somel, LCSW, and Karina Monroy, MA Art Therapy, Resident in Counseling.

Expressive Art: Mindful Doodling (Part 1)
Mondays, June 8 and 15,
Mindful doodling is a thoughtful, creative practice that helps you unwind and open your mind to new perspectives while engaging with others in a fun and supportive environment. Women and members of the gender-expansive community 18 and older are invited to attend this two-part workshop designed to support visual self-expression. Drawing skills are not required, and any experience is welcomed. All materials will be provided. Led by Nancy McCauley.

Invite relaxation and restoration through group acupuncture treatment. The NADA auricular (ear) acupuncture protocol is a non-invasive treatment that involves the gentle insertion of five needles into specific points in the ear to stimulate the nervous system. This treatment helps to reduce stress, uplift depressive feelings, and relieve anxiety. It can also help with improving sleep and provide a general sense of well-being. Our discussions will span every continent and various time periods, providing a rich, global perspective on queer history. 1st Sundays of the month, beginning February 1
Join us for a monthly, beginner-friendly walk inviting gentle movement and connection with nature and one another. All are welcome. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Trauma Healing Basics Series
Fridays, February 20–May 1, Group will not be meeting on April 10.
Join us for a 10-week group designed to offer support as you engage in your trauma-healing journey. The group will explore foundational elements including defining trauma, understanding common responses, and learning about phases of healing and resilience. Because trauma can disrupt one’s sense of safety in the body, mind, relationships, and environment, this closed and confidential group also offers opportunities to learn skill-based techniques for re-establishing safety. This group is open to women and members of the gender-expansive community residing in Charlottesville and/or Albemarle, Nelson, Greene, Louisa, or Fluvanna counties. Honoring Ourselves With Boundaries
Thursdays, February 5–26
Learning to set and honor boundaries can be challenging, especially when emotions are high or relationships feel complex. Join us for an interactive, supportive space where BIPOC individuals can explore what healthy boundaries look like, when they’re needed, and how to communicate them with clarity and confidence. Together we’ll practice identifying boundaries, voicing our needs, and navigating moments when our limits are tested. This counseling group is open to women of color residing in Charlottesville and/or Albemarle, Nelson, Greene, Louisa, or Fluvanna counties. Led by Kishara Joy Griffin, MSW, and Tianna Jordan, MS.
